Coach Shine Their Light

Coaching is a sacred service and duty. The ability to affect mold shape and to grow someone’s mind and talent is not a small act, done right it is the greatest gift a person can receive. As a coach you are finding the pieces of resistance or deliberate sabotage in a person and helping them discard that useless baggage.

The gift is so grand because a coach, a real coach, doesn’t really teach the person anything new or even share with them something they didn’t already have. Coaching brings the best out of the person and gives the person the credit they deserve for allowing themself to shine.

A coach brings the best parts of the person out and allows those qualities to break down the lesser refined traits. In doing so the coach is giving them access to the best parts of themself, and the confidence necessary to express it, on command - at will.

A coach can be anyone and everyone, however; being a coach is not for everyone, and not everyone is a coach. In a refined definition a coach is a step below a parent, they are a parent with a specific boundary set, like a therapist, teacher, counselor, ...

Coaching has many different elements: athleticism, strategy, artistic talent, mental strength, ... It occurs on fields, and courts, in classrooms, and across board games, however; the most significant place coaching takes place is in the emotional center; where confidence lies.

A coach’s greatest trick is not to teach something new but to bring the worst part of a student into the light and the student to view it wonderfully!
